Frequently asked questions
Workplace chaplaincy in Ghana, explained.
Answers to the questions we hear most from employers, executives and families — about what chaplaincy is, what we do, where we serve and how to begin.
Workplace chaplaincy
What is workplace chaplaincy?
Workplace chaplaincy places trained, caring chaplains inside organizations to support staff, executives and their families. Chaplains offer prayer, confidential counsel, pastoral care and moral encouragement right where people work — caring for the whole person, not just the employee.
Is workplace chaplaincy only for Christians?
CCi-Africa is a Christ-centred, non-denominational ministry, but our chaplaincy care is open to staff of every background. Support is always voluntary and respectful — nobody is ever pressured to take part in prayer or any activity of faith.
How does a chaplain complement our HR department?
Chaplains work alongside — never in place of — your HR team. HR handles policy, contracts and performance; chaplains care for the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of your people: grief, stress, family pressure, ethical dilemmas and personal growth. Many employers find that chaplaincy strengthens morale, loyalty and workplace culture.
Are conversations with a chaplain confidential?
Yes. Conversations between staff and our chaplains are treated as confidential and are entirely voluntary. Chaplains do not report personal details to management.
Services & programmes
What services does CCi-Africa provide?
We run corporate chaplaincy centres inside partner organizations, lead the 7-Hour Tarrying at the Altar & Strategic Business Alignment prayer programme, host leadership and governance programmes, support marriages and families, and provide care in times of crisis, bereavement and transition. Our Eminent Faculty of seasoned executives also speaks at programmes and centres.
Can you dedicate our premises or pray with our leadership team?
Yes. We regularly dedicate new offices, facilities and projects unto God, and lead prayer invasions covering every area of business operations — as we did at the Good News Chalet dedication in Ashesi Hills, Berekuso. Reach out through the contact page or call 026 963 1639 to arrange one.
Can individuals request a chaplain directly?
Yes. Individuals and families can request a chaplain through the Request a Chaplain form on our contact page. You choose your preferred contact method and availability, and a chaplain responds personally.
Locations & coverage
Where are your chaplaincy centres located?
Our 23 corporate chaplaincy centres serve organizations across Greater Accra — including Tema, Labone, Airport Residential and Akuse — spanning healthcare, finance and insurance, logistics and energy, legal and professional services, education, hospitality and faith communities. See the full list on our Chaplaincy Centres page.
Do you serve organizations outside Accra?
Yes. While most of our centres are in Greater Accra today, our vision is continental — CCi-Africa serves organizations across Ghana and Africa, with an international directorate in the USA. Contact us to discuss chaplaincy support wherever your organization is located.
For employers
How can our organization start a chaplaincy centre?
Start with a conversation: call 026 963 1639 or send a partnership enquiry through our contact page. We will visit your organization, understand your people and culture, and agree a chaplaincy arrangement that fits — then assign trained chaplains to serve your team.
Does our company need to be Christian-owned?
No. We serve organizations of every ownership and background. What matters is a willingness to care for your people. Participation by staff is always voluntary.
What does workplace chaplaincy cost?
Every partnership is tailored to the size and needs of your organization, and much of our work is supported by partners and donors. Contact us and we will gladly discuss an arrangement that works for you.
How do we book a programme for our team?
Call any of our lines — 026 963 1639, 055 839 3267 or 053 340 4025 — message us on WhatsApp, or use the enquiry form on the contact page. We will help you choose the right programme and schedule it for your team.
